As a blogger, one of your primary jobs is to keep the content flowing but consistently coming up with fresh content ideas is a challenge. It’s an issue that many new (and seasoned) bloggers face.
The good news is that if you do hit a content idea slump, there are some excellent online resources that you can use for inspiration to get the creative juices flowing again.
In a post published on Quick Sprout, Neil Patel shares 7 such resources.
- HubSpot’s Blog Topic Generator
- Uber Suggest
- Google Trends
- Portent’s Content Idea Generator
- Content Row’s Link Bait Title Generator
Some of the above you might already know. Others like Portent’s Content Idea Generator might be new to you, I had never heard of it, but I will be adding it to my toolbox.

In addition to the resources that Neil talks about in his post, there is one a resource not mentioned – Quora – and its number 8 on this list. If you are not familiar with Quora, it’s a Question and Answer platform, and its used by millions of people.
If you are short on content ideas, Quora is a goldmine.
Quora covers topics on every subject that you can imagine, and your audience is probably hanging out-there, seeking answers to their questions. You can get ideas for posts straight from the horse’s mouth (so to speak), and they don’t come much better than that.
To use Quora simply go to https://www.quora.com – then click on “Search Bar” and insert a keyword related to your niche to view related questions and answers. Many of which, will make perfect blog post topics.
For example, below I searched for Bee Keeping.
So There You Have It
No matter how long you have been blogging there is always something new to write about, so the next time you are stuck for ideas, you can use one or all of the above resources.
In regards to Quora, this is an online resource that you should use on a regular basis, but not just for content ideas. Start answering questions too, it’s a great way to help people, while at the same time build your online profile and drive traffic to your blog.
